What is Wannick ? From the Gunai/Kurnai language, Wannik (pronounced 'Wunn-ick') means 'Learning Together - Journey to Our Future'.
"Building on the Government’s work in early childhood, during 2007, the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development conducted the most comprehensive review of education provision for Koorie students ever undertaken in Victoria. On the basis of the outcomes of this Review, Wannik has been developed in close partnership with the Victorian Aboriginal Education Association Incorporated (VAEAI)." http://www.education.vic.gov.au/about/directions/wannik/introduction.htm
I have added a link to Wannick under the Professional Development links (to the right). There are a number of Indigenous Content and Perspectives - Digital Curriculum Resources. There is an online catalog http://www.education.vic.gov.au/about/directions/wannik/resources/learningresources.htm and the digital resources are at The Le@rning Federation website http://www.thelearningfederation.edu.au/default.asp
